Ancient Words For Today - Psalm 71:1
Throughout the Bible, we are encouraged, exhorted and invited to put our trust in the LORD God and believe on His promises. We can do so knowing that God is good, is wholly trustworthy and He loves us. As I thought about this, a verse came to mind; "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call." Psalm 20:7-9
The LORD promises many things to His followers, but the most precious is forgiveness and salvation through faith In Jesus Christ, and the blessed hope of spending eternity in His presence in a new world where sin and death are absent! The most important question to ask yourself is whether you have called upon the Lord and trusted Him in this way? He is faithful who promised!
