Ancient Words For Today - Isaiah 40:8
The physical world we live in is in constant transition. All living things, including mankind, move through the cycle of life through death. Our thoughts, beliefs, values, technology, and even scientific knowledge and theory are continually examined and challenged, and can change as new concepts, ideas and data are discovered. And considering all the misinformation broadcast in print, on TV, the internet and in social media, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to determine what is true and what is false and how we should respond to it.
There is one body of knowledge that is absolutely true and changes not – that is The Word Of God. We can count on its accuracy, absolute truthfulness and critical importance to us. God gave us His Word so that we might know Him, understand His amazing love for us, and His plan for our redemption. He promises eternal life to those who believe His Word and receive forgiveness of their sins through faith in the savior He sent, Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus Himself is identified in the Bible as the very Word of God!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men...... (See John 1:1-14)
