It is interesting that God is calling His own people, not the unbelievers, to
repent of their wicked ways. Perhaps God’s people have unknowingly been
influenced and carried downstream by the current of growing sin,excess, and
immorality in our country. Perhaps we have lowered our standards through
compromise and by looking the other way rather than confronting sin in our
society. Whatever the case, God’s people are being called to humble
themselves, pray, seek His face and do what is right and pleasing to God.
If we will do that, God will forgive us and heal our land.
